It’s been estimated that the average person has 60,000 thoughts a day and that over 90 percent of these derive either from memories or the thoughts of other people, either read or expressed in conversation. That means ten percent of what we think originates with us.
Now ask yourself, how are you using your ten percent?
If you find yourself saying things like, “ He’s driving me crazy” or “I hate my job” or “This job is killing me.” blah, blah blah……STOP RIGHT NOW!
That type of thinking can make you sick, depressed or feeling isolated and alone. It can seriously mess with your mind.
Most of us know about affirmations, and how the power of our words can help create a sense of wellness.
WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW
Is that anything anyone else says to you is an affirmation too. Our subconscious minds accept it all.
WHAT TO DO
If somebody is saying something negative to you, say to yourself privately, I don’t accept this. And say the opposite silently to yourself.
eg: if you find yourself or somebody else saying “I know they didn’t like me”
Try rephrasing your words silently to yourself:
“I love everyone and everyone loves me” – Florence Scovel Shinn
One great tip is all you need to stop negative thoughts from harming your life
